A Little Inconsistency?

God uses the mechanism of elections to appoint our King...er, ...President.

By this logic, why is it so hard for the same people who agree with above (like that woman who called in the NPR show when Lakoff was on), also to agree to this:

God uses the mechanism of evolution to form new species, including humans?

I have no problem with people thinking this way, as long as they accept evolution. Their kids may take the next step, or their grandkids....
